We are a fairly new group called the Rock Island Plow Company that plays bluegrass
in the Troy/Tipp City area (just north of Dayton).

Band Members Information

Bill Bach - Banjo
Bill started irritating people with his picking in 1976
as the result of a bet. He plays banjo, guitar, and a little string bass when Marc isn't looking.

Stan Taylor - Mandolin
Stan's preferred instrument is mandolin, but he also plays guitar,
dulcimer, string bass, and a little bit of banjo. With RIPC, he sings lead and tenor.

Kent Moore - Guitar
Kent was born in 1952 in Troy, OH, and attended school in Tipp City, OH.
His family is from Kentucky. His dad played banjo and guitar. Kent's dad started him playing
music at a very early age, and he favors bluegrass over other styles.

Rick Hagens- Bass
Rick has been married for 32 years to his high school sweetheart Cathy. He was born in Dayton, Ohio and raised in New Bremen. For 7 years he played in a band called Simple Tymes.

Kristen McNabb - Fiddle (AKA Fiddola)
Her father, a music teacher, started her on the viola at age 9.
She toured internationally with youth orchestras in high school, and started to play professionally
at age 16. During her college years, she spent 9 months in Germany studying, working,
and playing with a civic orchestra there.
