will be sure to entertain an audience.

Musicians

Lonnie Wellman is the driving force of Mountain Therapy with his lead and baritone singing and his powerful rhythm guitar style that lays the foundation for the entire band.Ê His roots are deep in bluegrass and he comes from a family of exceptional musicianship. Whether it is a haunting bluegrass ballad or a fast powerhouse standard, Lonnie's pure voice and distinctive picking style drive home the Mountain Therapy sound.Ê Lonnie's writing skills have added several originals to the band's catalog of songs.

Marsha Wellman plays upright bass and sings lead and tenor for Mountain Therapy.Ê Her love and devotion to music shines through in both her playing and her lonesome vocal styling.Ê She has been performing professionally since a small child and also comes from a rich musical heritage. Marsha has a great talent for arranging and is responsible for developing the tight knit harmonies that are a distinguishing trademark of Mountain Therapy.

Tim Custer plays banjo and also sings lead and bass.Ê He tackles "war-horse" instrumentals with impeccable drive and timing and his taste and tone are unmatched.Ê His skill on banjo has placed him in an elite class of award winning performers.Ê Tim is twice the Mid-Atlantic Banjo Champion.Ê He was also awarded the Tri-State Banjo Championship five times and the Maryland State Banjo Championship four times. Tim serves his mentor, the late Don Reno, very well in his creativity.Ê He is truly a musician's musician.Ê He has penned several original songs and serves as the front man and MC for the entertaining Mountain Therapy.

Mark Miracle is the most recent member of the band and originally hails from Phoenix, AZ.Ê He plays mandolin and has that rare ability to sing all vocal parts but prefers the "support" role in the vocal makeup, singing mostly baritone and tenor, with the occasional lead duty.Ê He has been the AZ State Mandolin Champion on several occasions and has also been part of several award winning bands that have played shows all over the USA including IBMA and Telluride. His outstanding musical talents shine through both vocally and instrumentally.Ê Mark strives to approach the music in a fresh fashion while holding true to its roots.Ê His picking is clean, tasteful and driving.Ê He too has written several originals and he brings a distinctive new sound to Mountain Therapy.
