Ryan and Steven started playing together in 2002. Steven was 11 and Ryan was 13. In 2004 they started Almost Famous. They play old favorite bluegrass tunes as well as many of the newer more progressive songs of today. Their accomplishments include several live radio shows, 2004 Starquest winners, and even a special segment on West Virginia PBS television.

About a year ago they asked Carl to play bass for them. Things started to get interesting and they wanted to record a CD. This year we asked Zeke if he would help them out. Now Zeke has been playing mandolin with them and doing some shows too. We are thrilled to have him pla

y with the boys. They have recently completed their first CD, One Small Step. You can get your copy at any of their shows. Steven and Ryan are 2004 Jamboree USA StarQuest Winners! Special guests at Jamboree in the Hills 2004 (The Superbowl of Country Music) Runners up at 2005 Colgate Country Showdown Ryan and Carl also play for Lost Mountain Bluegrass Band. Steven also plays banjo for The Coleman Family Band. Zeke teaches mandolin at CA House Music in St. Cairsville, Ohio and also plays with Retro Grass. All of these bands perform in Ohio and West Virginia at county fairs, bluegrass festivals and special events.
