Darell Sanson & String Sensations brings bluegrass music to a new and profound sound. The band members reside in Knox County, Ohio. Their musical style ranges from traditional bluegrass to gospel. Over the years, String Sensations have been sharing their music at various festivals and Churches. Their energetic music creates a toe-tapping, hand clapping kind of atmosphere. They have had the opportunity to play several shows with Judy Marshall.

The leader of the band Darell Sanson has been around music all his life, beginning at the early age of 7 when he learned to play mandolin. By the time he was 15 years old, he went on the road with The Country Gentlemen. He has also had the opportunity to play with such greats as Jimmy Martin and the Sunny Mountain Boys and the Bluegrass Alliance. Today, Darell is a self-employed music teacher who teaches guitar, mandolin, bass, banjo and fiddle. He has approximately 115 students who range in age from 5 to 70. The bass player for the group is DarellÕs daughter Brittney, whom also sings lead for the group and plays guitar. The mandolin player is Laura Wade. Laura does a lot of the harmony and lead singing for the group. The banjo player is Christopher Wade, who has an excellent ear for arrangements, blends and tones and has also become a fantastic guitar picker. The smallest member of the group is DarellÕs nephew Ethan Whitehair. He plays tambourine and has great timing for such a small fella. He also loves bluegrass music.
String Sensation has just released their CD called "Thank You Lord". All of the songs on the CD were written by Darell.
