The Mountain Rose
Concert Series
The Mountain Rose is a small-hall concert
series featuring local and regional artists with more talent than
exposure. We pride ourselves on presenting high-quality performances
to an audience that really LISTENS. That is the beauty of a concert
setting. Our performers are primarily acoustic artists, mostly in
the folk, traditional, and singer-songwriter categories. The concerts
are run in Kent, Ohio, with the normal season running October through
May. We occasionally (twice a year) produce all-day festivals at
the Happy Days Visitor Center in The Cuyahoga Valley National Park.
Since April of 1999 we have been producing
a radio show of folk programming on WAPS-FM in Akron (91.3). Hosted
by Tim Wallace, Jon Mosey, or Tom Ball, it is on from 7:00-9:00
on Saturday mornings, and features many local and regional artists.
We usually have a live guest performer. We hope you will join us
on 91.3, The Summit.
Our goal is to continue to promote local
and regional acoustic musicians in concert settings such as those
above on a regular basis. We hope you will make plans to support
our concerts as well as our excellent local and regional performers.
If you would like further information, please e-mail us or call
us: Jim Stone 330-668-3040, or Jon Mosey at (330) 676-1546 or Tom
Ball at (330) 733-8845.

here for all to know. Email at:
